Amtech Brings Full Material Traceability Plus Cloud Delivery and Analytics to Label Traxx
PR Newswire
FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., Sept. 15, 2026
New Track & Trace module follows every roll from raw material to shipped pallet; announced alongside Label Traxx on the Cloud and Amtech Visual Analytics (AVA) at LOUPE Americas.
FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Amtech Software today announced three enhancements to Label Traxx, the ERP platform used by label, flexible packaging and shrink converters: Label Traxx delivered on the Cloud, Amtech Visual Analytics (AVA) for Label Traxx, and Track & Trace, a new module for following material through the plant. All three were announced at LOUPE in Chicago, where Amtech is demonstrating them through September 17th.
“Label Traxx has always told a converter what a job costs,” said Grant Emison, Head of Labels Products at Amtech Software. “What customers keep asking is the rest: Where’s that job right now? How’s the business really doing this month? And why, in 2026, is there still a server in a closet somebody must nurse through upgrades? Three questions. Three releases. That’s the announcement.”
Label Traxx on the Cloud: Security and Innovation for the Market with a Seamless Transition for Current Users
Label Traxx is being elevated to the cloud. The ERP that has been the engine for hundreds of label and flexible packaging converters around the world is making the adoption of innovation easier while retaining its deep fit for the industry, down to the small details: the functions, navigation, and fields are the same as the on-premise product, so teams do not need to retrain. For existing customers, data and workflows migrate through automatic routines rather than a customer-staffed migration project, minimizing the time and effort required to move.
Amtech runs the platform and technical administration so plants can devote more time and energy to core business excellence. Users, from leadership to management and shop floor, will access Label Traxx from a web browser and benefit from efficiency and security enhancements that show up without the legacy process of maintaining a server and scheduling upgrades. Amtech is accepting a limited amount of converters onto Label Traxx in the Cloud Starter edition in November 2026 and will be rolling out more in early 2027.
The platform also shifts responsibility for data protection. Running an ERP on-premise means the converter owns the backup regime, the recovery plan and the defense against cyber-attack. The cloud platform has backup, fail-over and cyber defense built in.
“Most cloud ERP conversations in this industry are really conversations about replacing your system,” said Danna Nelson, SVP of Product at Amtech Software. “That is not what this is. An estimator who has used Label Traxx for years opens it in a browser and gets to work. We did the hard engineering specifically so that nothing about their day changes except where it runs.”
Emison said the resilience benefit is the one customers tend to underestimate. “Nobody buys an ERP because they want to run a server. They run one because that used to be the only option, and along with it they inherited the backups, the patching and the job of keeping criminals out of their production data. Those are full-time specialties. They shouldn’t be a converter’s second job. With Label Traxx on the Cloud, label converters can stop maintaining servers and focus on running their business.”
Prebuilt and Configurable Analytics for Label Traxx: A dashboard that answers the next question
Amtech Visual Analytics (AVA) connects to the Label Traxx data warehouse and comes installed with pre-configured dashboards for financial and operational performance so teams can unlock more value from existing data on day one. Users can start with aggregate-level observations and quickly drill into underlying data to traverse from trend to root cause analysis without breaking their train of thought. AVA can schedule and distribute reports in Excel and PDF format and be used to build custom reporting views for the leader who wants things just so and the new manager who still wears their old hat.
Generic business intelligence tools require someone to model the data and build every dashboard before answering the first question. AVA arrives with that work done, and Amtech will continue to add dashboards and reports.
Track & Trace: Removing Data Analysis from the Dreaded Aspects of a Recall
The new Track & Trace module extends the roll control already in Label Traxx from raw material to work in process. It records length, width, number across, location, parent material, lineal feet used, slitting lane, press, and operator, then labels finished rolls with their parentage and serializes cartons and pallets against a shipping manifest.
The result is a full material history traceable forward from a purchase order and backward through a customer shipment. A converter can trace a defect back to its source roll, then forward to every roll, order, and shipment that source touched so the material that needs to be inspected or quarantined can be identified precisely, rather than relying on timestamps and a collection of staff memories.
“Many of our customers are being asked to track the lineage of a finished roll including the raw material rolls it was produced from, the lane on which it was printed and the pieces of equipment on which it was produced,” Emison said. “Managing this with paper and spreadsheets is uncertain and expensive. We allow you to capture it in the system that manages your business, Label Traxx.”
Amtech is demonstrating all three at LOUPE in Chicago through September 17th, at booth 6117.
