Art in Sudtirol – Carla Carli Mazzucato

Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy Aug 2, 2026 (Issuewire.com) On August 28, 2026, the Lanserhaus Gallery in Appiano/Eppan BZ, Italy, will present 27 works by international artist, Carla Carli Mazzucato, in an exhibit that will run through September 13. The collection of original oil paintings follows a thematic depiction of impressions that speak to the artists journey in life, from the Springtime of youth through the onset of Winter and beyond.

Born in 1935 in Appiano, Italy, Carla Carli Mazzucato has spent much of her artistic career recalling her homeland through her numerous canvases which have traveled the world in exhibits in Europe, North America and Asia. After her studies at the Cà Foscari in Venice and Università of Milan, she immigrated to the United States in 1962 where she began publicly displaying and selling her paintings in 1969. Since then, her work has regularly appeared in New York City, been auctioned in Chicago, and has been commissioned for a variety of private and public collections including the Michigan Opera Theater’s collection on display at the Detroit Opera House. She has painted memories and recollections of her many journeys from Alto Adige, Venice and Tuscany to France, Spain and Russia. She has also traveled from coast to coast in the United States and catalogued her impressions in the 60 works of her America Series.

Several publications explore her art from various periods of her careerfrom her early classical works, to neo-expressionist, impressionist and modern expressionist paintings. A new book showcasing the artist’s paintings and poetic reflections from the Lanserhaus exhibit will be published on August 25 and available on Amazon and at the Mazzucato Studio website. The exhibit opening and artist reception at Lanserhaus will take place on August 28, 2026 at 7pm. The regular exhibit will run through September 13, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm MondaySunday, with additional hours from 10am to noon on Saturday and Sunday.
