Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) August 27th, 2026

Thai Trade LA hosted the Thai Entertainment Forum 2026, under the theme “Where Thailand Meets Hollywood,” at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) in Los Angeles, bringing together key figures from Thailand’s entertainment industry and Hollywood to explore new opportunities for international collaboration.
The forum gathered Thai film and television executives alongside Hollywood studios, producers, investors, distributors and buyers, with discussions focused on expanding Thai content into the global market and creating new opportunities for cross-border partnerships.
The event opened with welcome remarks from Mr. Niwat Hansawat, Director of the Office of Commercial Affairs in Los Angeles. A keynote address followed from Mr. Sirisak Kosapasarin, Vice President of the Federation of National Film Associations, highlighting the growing potential of Thailand’s entertainment sector on the international stage.
A featured panel, titled “Bridging Thailand and Hollywood: Co-Production, Distribution, and Creative Partnership Opportunities,” brought together senior representatives from three prominent Thai entertainment companies: Matching Maximize Solution, NOB Productions, and GMMTV. Panelists discussed opportunities for co-production, content licensing and distribution, and international production partnerships.
The forum also attracted professionals from across the U.S. entertainment industry, including representatives from major studios, streaming platforms, film distributors, investment firms, entertainment media and the press. The gathering provided an opportunity for Thai and American industry leaders to connect directly and explore potential business and creative collaborations.
Beyond its industry discussions, the event showcased Thailand’s broader creative and cultural offerings. Attendees participated in a Thai SELECT Culinary Experience, featuring six Thai restaurants recognized by Thai Select. The culinary showcase was followed by a business networking session designed to connect Thai entertainment companies directly with Hollywood professionals.
The forum forms part of a broader effort to strengthen ties between Thailand’s entertainment industry and Hollywood while highlighting Thailand’s creative talent, production capabilities and potential as an international filming destination.
As Thai film and television continue to gain recognition beyond the country’s borders, the Thai Entertainment Forum 2026 underscored the growing interest in Thai content and the potential for deeper collaboration between the Thai and U.S. entertainment industries.
The event marked another step toward creating new pathways for Thai stories, talent and productions to reach audiences around the world.
