Author and Educator Brooke Carnwath Releases Middle-Grade Novel “Far From The Ocean’s Edge”

When Skye and her mother travel across the country to care for her ailing grandparents, Skye realizes she may finally have an opportunity to uncover the truth.

Far from her seaside home in Maine, Skye encounters a world of towering mountains, dusty rodeo arenas, horses, and wide-open spaces. With the help of Tuck, a ten-year-old rodeo kid eager for adventure, she begins investigating a list of possible fathers while getting to know her grandparents, camping beneath the stars, and learning to ride.

But as Skye gets closer to discovering the identity of her father, she uncovers something even more important: family isn’t defined by a particular place, size, or traditional way of life. It is defined by love.
